What’s that? You don’t like the Devil? Listen to this album and you’ll be chanting “Hail, Sweet Satan!” Touted as one of the greatest black metal weapons against the forces of light yet, this CD contains some of the most evil music you’ll find. Now, I think that Century Media has a sense of humor when it comes to promoting this disc, but the featured bands are damned serious. Names such as Sacramentum, Rotting Christ and Borknagar hint at what sort of lyrics they sing. With song titles like “Thus Spake The Nightspirit,” “Necrolust” and “The Dawn of the End,” even Pat Boone won’t be able to cover them. I have to recommend this album because Lucifer is making me, and also because this disc is a lot of fun in a creepy sort of way…like going to a horror movie. Best of all, this sampler is available for the ungodly low price of $3.98. So, if you’ve ever been curious about Satanic European Black Death Metal, this is a good way to indulge yourself.
