Money doesn't grow on trees, but apparently Guided by Voices rip-off bands do. You'd think after producing one of the best hip-hop albums ever (the Beastie Boys' Paul's Boutique), the Dust Brothers would know better than to sign a mundane and ordinary crew like Creeper Lagoon to their Nickelbag label. However, maybe the Brothers' recent production stint with Hanson has left them susceptible to the trite, boring, and ephemeral side of the music industry.
Apparently so…
