The Revelators are a three-piece outta the “Show Me State.” Not exactly a power trio, they stripped the bass and added a frontman. It works as sure as the cows eat the cabbage. Gettin’ some help from Walter Daniels on the amplified mouth organ, they rip with some wicked six-string slide and thumping bottom-end tubs on Billy Boy Arnold’s “Rockinitis” and Johnny Horton’s “Old Slew Foot.” Not bad taste for three guys who look like they just had their first wet dream. Hell, with a sound like this, they probably get more action than that 12-year-old Oregon stud who was puttin’ the hammer to his teacher.
