I wish all you fine readers could see Hub’s contemplative and reflective press photo. Poor, poignant Hub looks as though the weight of the world has crushed his spirit. But, c’mon, cheer up, Hubbie! After all, even though your bland, sterile voice is fantastically non-descript, you do have friends in high places. Yes, members of the Rollins Band, the Golden Palominos and Ween all contribute to Hub’s debut album. And hell, the songwriting and production on this record is pretty decent, though it’s a tad pretentious at times. One more thing: Hub’s got a bit of a Pink Floyd jones, which makes me think of “gettin’ it on.”
