Drain S.T.H.
Freaks of Nature
(Polygram)
Remember Vixen and their semi-sexy attempt at hard rock? Well, they're gone and now there is Drain S.T.H. This quartet of  Stockholm women are quickly becoming the reigning queens of Heavy Metal. Their sophomore release is well-crafted and slickly produced. Of the eleven tracks, "Enter My Mind" and "Black" show the heavy and quite serious side of these women. The songs also reflect, as they did on the first album, the influence on these ladies by such bands as Alice In Chains and Heart. They also allow themselves to explore the lighter side of things with "The Bubble Song," which has obvious lyrical concentrations. If singer Maria Sjoholm and her band can continue their constant touring schedule, they may become the standard by which all-female metal bands are
measured.
