LITTLE NICKY
Soundtrack To The Motion Picture
Maverick Records

I haven't seen the movie, but I can tell you from the trailers I caught that this speaker-splitting soundtrack definitely captures the sights, sounds and smells experienced by the do-right son of the devil as he sets out to the scariest place on earth, New York City.  Nicky is hurled from the netherworld on a journey set to a hellacious mix of today's top rap and rock acts.  It's a nearly impossible with the over-abundance of soundtracks hitting the market to find one that has a line up so great you can listen to every song; however, this one comes very close to that far-away dream.  The album mixes the underground and mainstream, featuring singles from Incubus ("Pardon Me"), Filter ("Take a Picture"), P.O.D ("School of Hard Knocks"), Powerman 5000 ("When Worlds Collide") and much more. If you're a Static-X fan, you'll love Unloco ("Nothing") which takes after the format of constant guitars and a steady drumbeat. Linkin Park ("Points of Authority") and Disturbed ("Stupify") are two songs pumping with intensity by two groups highly recognized in the underground "Natural High" by Insolence is definitely worth a listen.  The underground group won the Little Nicky soundtrack contest at Farmclub.com, thus making it onto the disc.  The track features good scratches combined with ripping guitars and background sounds that make the song flow. Rounding out the soundtrack comes a rare gem, an acoustic version of "Be Quiet and Drive" by the Deftones!  This track alone makes the album worth wild!
