This Brazilian quartet is back again and heavier than ever. Unlike many modern metal bands, however, Sepultura continue to experiment both musically and lyrically within their genre. The new CD has everything from sing-along anthems like "Sepulnation" to the full-on speed metal of "Revolt" to minor key jams like "The Ways Of Faith." Having returned to Brazil for the recording of this album (the first time since 1989), it is the band's hope that they've captured some of the spirit of their earlier days. After losing their original lead singer, Max Cavalera, the band has had much to prove with their new frontman from Ohio, Derrick Green. Thus, it made sense to go back to the recording roots. "It's what sepultura's always been about," says drummer Igor Cavalera. "It's about being a Third World band, a Brazilian band that has no limits of boundaries. I think people all over the world relate to that perhaps more now than ever. From a tribe to a nation." by J eff Muendel
