SNATCH
Soundtrack To The Motion Picture

The dream logic of Klint's "Diamond" sets the pace for the original film soundtrack for Guy Ritchie's new film, Snatch.  But the progression through songs as diverse as Massive Attack's "Angel" and The Johnston Brothers' "Hernando's Hideaway" is anything but predictable.  Acid rock is bumped up against folk and disco.  The album pleasantly diverges into such classic scores as The Stranglers' "Golden Brown" and Bobby Byrd's "Hot Pants (I'm Coming, Coming, I'm Coming."  Beginning with the voice of Brad Pitt, the soundtrack ends with the voice of Dennis Farina in dialogue from the film.  Through out, humor grounds the album.  by Sophia Estante
