Oh the sublime music out there that never gets its fifteen minutes of fame! This album is forlorn, perfect for a gray day kind of music. If you're a fan of Elliot Smith, Tindersicks, or Mazzy Star you will enjoy this melancholy album. This band consists of drummer Nick Avery, multi-instrumentalist Clive Painter, and Martine Roberts, keyboardist Bill Lloyd (from Placebo) and frontman Paul Anderson. This album is marked by its sad (to the point of hard-core-sad) vocals, and slow tempos. I love it when sad British men sing, but beware this album may make you take a long painful look at yourself, and the world, and you might even like it. So kick back brew a pot of strong coffee, and feel warm in this album's sea of sadness.  by Toni Goehring
